2024 Season

2024 was a historic season for Sixth City. Two more teams relocated, paving the way for the New New York Benders and Lower City Lasercats to join the league. The regular season was dominated by the HCC, with five teams reaching double digit wins and all five entering the playoffs. This was the first season of a full Rivalry Week, with all 14 teams facing off in a grudge match in Week 14; this season also marked the introduction of Bowl Games. Seven matchups were spotlighted across the regular season, highlighting two teams per matchup with geographic and historical significance.

Despite the strong presence of the HCC in the playoffs, it was the 2023 runner-up Toronto Hogs of the SCC who finally broke through and hoisted the Borealis Trophy. It was the first time in league history that an SCC franchise became the champion; it was the first time a team not finishing 8-6 won the championship; and it was the first time a conference title holder went on to win the chip.
